VQRT Email Address: Email Client Set-up.
1. Get the mail server settings from your ISP.
They usually look like this: 2. Open the new email account set up on your phone or computer. 3. It will ask you for the name to display. This is the name in the FROM column when someone receives your email. You can use just your initials, your full name or a nickname - whatever. John Smith decided to use his initial here so he entered: J S 4. Then it will ask you for the email address. There you enter your VQRT address. John Smith entered: js@VQRT.com 5. Then it asks for TYPE of incoming server. Usually it is POP3. 6. Then it asks for the incoming server name John Smith entered: mail.comcast.net 7. Then it asks for outgoing email server name. John Smith entered: smtp.comcast.net 8. Then it will ask for account name. This is how your ISP identifies you. For comcast it is the first part of the comcast email address. John Smith's email address at comcast is JohnSmith1975@comcast.net, so he entered: JohnSmith1975 9. Then it asks for password. You should have this in your records when you signed up with your ISP. John Smith entered his password: ******* 10. Sometimes it asks if you need to use password to log in. Usually it is YES. John Smith checked the YES box to always log in using password. 11. John is done! If you need further help, please contact your ISP or walk into your phone service store. They will set this up for you.
